I am researching movie star Errol Flynn. You state his birthday correctly as
June 20, 1909, but you give two different birthplaces. The incorrect one is
in Ireland. There is a birth time and a chart for that location. However,
his correct birthplace was Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. There is no time or
chart for this correct location, only Capricorn rising. Do you have a birth
time for Hobart?

Hello, I love reading my horoscope daily but I'm a bit confused as to whether
which day relates to me. I was born at 2:45pm, 24th March in Edinburgh,
Scotland but I live in Adelaide, Australia. Could you please inform me how to
adjust the time so that it relates in real time. Cheers.

Thank you for the best site of astrology in the universe!
I'm real heavy user at your site and very happy about it.... but :)
Why there is this silly text allmoste e-ve-ry day in daily horoskope: 'The
partner references are set for a relationship with a man. Explanation' for
gays and not for straights? I perfektly know whitch settings i have made
afterall its enought difficoult to do wihle that alternative is not even in
astro data base... the adding is mutch more harder.
I would be happy to see that you could see us equal with mixd couples )
Otherwise i'm so grateful about your huge work down there and whis u all the
best and blessing at your lifes!

Alois adds: In fact, if there are partner references in the text, this
note appears for everyone, whether homo- or heterosexual. In one case it says
'The partner references are set for a relationship with a man' and in the
other 'The partner references are set for a relationship with a man'. It
depends whether you have marked your birth data for homosexual preference or
not, and you can modify this mark at any time. Just make your choice, and
change it when ever you feel like it. The explanation how to do that is right
there. Please try out the change, and see how the text is modified in
accordance with your preference choice. There
is no discrimination of any kind.
In English, even when there is a partner reference, if is often worded
gender neutral and just says 'with your partner'. But if you switch to any
other of the eight languages we currently support, you will find that the
wording is gender dependent, because for example in German the word for
a feamle partner is 'Partnerin' and for a male partner is 'Partner'. In most
languages there are subtle gender dependent word endings, and we have made
a big effort to get that right also for gays. In most languages the text
would be very clumsy if we tried to express it completely gender-neutral.
Thank you for acknowledging the void of course moon. Would it be possible
for you to list the exact times of its duration? Many thanks.

Alois adds: We do. In two ways, in the personal daily horoscope: Either you look forward to the next ingres of
the Moon into a sign, which ends the void of course period.
Or you move your mouse cursor over the link, and get the time indicated in a
little help text which appears, magically.
OH! I LOVE the addition of mundane events to the daily horoscopes! You guys
are really going above and beyond! (I was thrilled about the Love scopes
addition a while back, too!)
As someone who sits down with Llewellen's calendars and your site every
couple of months to HAND-transcribe the daily mundane events (all of them,
including the moon and inconjuncts) AND my personal daily transits into my
day planner, I'm grateful and excited to see you moving one step closer to a
one-stop shop for me!
My Wish List for the Daily Scopes, just in case you should wonder:
--List the transits and aspects in the order in which they occur, according
to time.
--A full mundane events/aspects listing, along with the option to view your
personal transits interspersed with them, again according to time.
Differentiate personals from mundane by font color, face, whatever
--Make all of this downloadable to my Palm Pilot, Pocket PC, regular PC,
phone, etc...
And you'll have a subscriber for LIFE in me!
Many thanks again for the new addition!

Alois adds: Universal time is the international time standard, independent of
any location. All local times are defined as a offset against Universal time.
Of course, by definition and because it refers to no specific location,
Universal time does not contain daykight saving time.
The easiest way to learn about your local time offset against universal time
is by creating a 'chart of the moment'.
Hello, I have found Liz Greene's Relationship Horoscope truly remarkable and
very helpful.
Is it possible to create a Progressed relationship horoscope?
In other words, we have the two individuals' charts, which created the
relationship horoscope, and then I also have the date on which the
relationship started, and then I have today's date.
Thank You!

I love your site and check it daily. But I'm very unhappy about a recent
change. Last night, my mother died. Tonight I tried to create what used to
be called a Chart of the Moment for the minute of my her death, but
discovered that chart option has been removed, apparently replaced by a Chart
of NOW over which I have no control in entering data. Rather, the Chart of
NOW automatically calculates a chart based on this moment, but I cannot enter
data for another time. This is a great disappoinement. Please consider
reinstating (or making easier to find) the Chart of the Moment.
Thank you.

Alois adds: I am sorry to hear about your mother.
There has been no change in our software. The easiest way to get a 'chart of
the moment' is via the Atlas interface (accessible from the homepage).
For any chart, it is very easy to modify the data. Just use 'edit data for..'
on top of the chart output page, or use My Astro -> edit links.
How about offering a special on a solar return reading on a persons
birthday... say 50% off or something: )

I really like the content of the new Love Horoscopes, but the writing is just
terrible. One of the things I have always liked about this website, and one
of the reasons I have subscribed to it for years, is the quality of the
writing. I'm an English professor. I'm picky. Since the Love Horoscopes
appeared on the scene, I've been less than impressed by the writing, but my
horoscope for today (where too appears instead of to) crosses the line from
style-issues to full-on syntactic errors. You're going to need to hire an
editor for the Love Horoscopes because, with every sentence-level error ,I
(and I suspect people like me) become less and less impressed with the site
as a whole. Thanks for addressing this issue.

Hello. I read my daily for this Sat. It gave me an extended forecast. My
question, it has Chiron Trine Venus, period, March 1 2007-Jan 2008. How is
this possible? Venus changes every month. I have also seen this recently for
my moon and Pluto, and it was for a two year period. Thanks for you info.

In regards to a recent post sent about the transiting nodal axis with its
south node conjunct my natal Uranus and Pluto...as always, it is up to the
astrologer to discern what has a greater causal effect in life dramas.
Transiting Mars entered my eighth house last week. Merely two days prior, my
right knee suffered tremendous damage: medial meniscus, anterior crucial
ligament and surrounding muscle injuries that require surgery, which I will
undergo while Mars transits my eighth house. All this happened while the
nodal axis hit my natal conjunction of Pluto and Uranus. And it happened at
work, while transiting Pluto goes through my sixth house.
On the plus side, I believe that transiting Saturn through the second house
has been quite beneficial in manifesting useful, high quality resources.
During this transit I have built around me, albeit slowly, many tools of
utility: a new computer, various pieces of furniture, drafting materials,
etc. But again I believe it is up to the astrologer to use their intuition to
discern what is working to manifest the various elements in one's holographic
reality structure.

Hi Alois, further to the question I posed 12th December 06, regarding how to
read my transits when transit times are exact
in London U.K. and there is currently an eleven hour difference between there
and where I live in Sydney Oz.... Your reply suggested that I use the
'choose reference place'. .....I had already tried that , but the
instructions say that that will make little or no difference. However, I took
your advice , but have continued to be confused because often the transits
are different......Take today as an example.. In the london timezone the
Lunar eclipse is exact at 11.17pm with 3 daily transits, and in the Sydney
timezone it is exact at 10.17am with no daily transits. Of course, I
understand why there is an eleven hour difference, but, it is the same
eclipse. Please Explain how to read these transits correctly. Regards Brian
D. Madden.
P.S. I am a subcriber to your service, and am generally happy with this
service, so this is not a criticism.........thanks again

Sydney, Australia --- Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 23:16 Universal Time
Alois adds: This is a tricky issue. Please see the FAQ, about Personal
Horoscopes -> Transits - Selection of..
What makes up the 24 hours of a particular day is a different stretch of time
in Australia, compared to the UK. Some event which falls on one date in
Australia may be on the prvious date in UK. therefore, for a particular date
the list of available transits for that date is different on the two places.
This leads our selection program, which has to find something interesting
(and different) for each day of the year to different solutions what to
select, because not the same list of choices is available on two places.
In consequence, the whole balance of selections for a complete year may show
differences (we always consider the wohle calendar year in the selection
process for each day, because we want to provide sufficient variety over the
course of the year).
thanks a thousand times for your advice today (transit: Mars Square Neptune),

I was very surprised to read the interpretation of Neptune square Sun in
transit. I found it to be unecessarily negative, alarming and lacking in
wisdom and clarity. In doing a web search I found many people had read this
and were quite upset by its content. This kind of interpretation is not
well-considered and there are many other ways to interprety this possibly
illuminating passage, depending entirely on the consciousness of the
individual. Please be more careful. I am considering eliminating astrology
entirely from my interests due to this kind of harmfulness. Thank you,

Dear Alois, Astrodienst team
Congrats for your continued success, am really curious about the mentioned
projects you're working on.
Notwithstanding, may I ask if it is at all in your plans to produce a PDA
suitable stripped down version of astro.com, at least the Extended Chart
Selection section?
I'm saying this 'cos, although I bear in mind you have your hands full, this
might not be so difficult or lenghty to do and it can be extremelly helpful
to those of us who are out there and want to look at some precisely drawn
charts while away from our desks and broadband connections.
I'm looking into buying some Windows Mobile 5 astro software but I'm already
hopeless that any option will ever produce charts as readable as yours -
yours are superb! However, in a small screen the GIFs from extended chart
selection page appear distorted thus very difficult to view and there's too
many dispensable and costly Kb downloaded. My trick has been to go into
astro.click.portrait/partner but still lots of charts are left out and again
it's rather costly due to unnecessary graphics that only make sense in a
desktop environment.
Congratulations for all the esteem you're earning from around the world and
many thanks for the attention drawn to this question!
